About the CEO

Sharon Olzerowicz is the founder, President and CEO of Hired by Matrix, Inc. Founded in 1986, Matrix has grown from an Information Technology consulting company into a full service staffing firm under Sharon’s direction. Matrix now employees over 200 people with an enviable client list that includes numerous Fortune 100 companies.

Having attained a greater appreciation of the marketing process during her tenure as an employee of a major IT consulting firm, Sharon founded Matrix believing that information technology resourcing could achieve a fulfillment ratio above 80%, which was unheard of at the time. Over the past 23 years, Sharon has expanded Matrix’s expertise to service a wider variety of its clients’ ever changing staffing needs. Today, those additional services include Payrolling Services, Customer Service, Clinical & Scientific, Administrative and Clerical as well as Human Resources, Permanent Placement and Executive Search. With Sharon’s passion for the business and entrepreneurial spirit, she is continually exploring new lines of business to complement Matrix’s core services. In 2010, Sharon took Matrix’s business a giant leap forward by joining forces with two firms at the forefront of social media marketing and software development and becoming a premiere supplier of Social Media staffing.

Sharon has provided visionary leadership to the company and played a critical role every step of the way. With her guidance, Matrix has built a reputation for technical excellence and total commitment to customer service as Sharon has focused the company on truly partnering with clients, resulting in increased market share within current clients while continuing to add new clients through referrals. Sharon and Matrix have achieved significant success. In 2009, based on revenue, Matrix was ranked as the #21 WBE in the New York area by Crain’s Magazine and #9 WBE in New Jersey by DiversityBusiness.com.

Sharon is an active member of the Women’s Enterprise Leadership Forum Governing Group and serves as a member of the WBENC Development Committee. She is also a member on the national level of the WPO Platinum Group and WIPP. As an active supporter of Women and Minority owned businesses, Sharon has also worked with the White House and the SBA to raise the awareness of and insure the inclusion of Women and Minority businesses in the government stimulus programs. In addition, Sharon serves on the Supplier Diversity Advisory Board of a fortune 100 financial services company.

Sharon graduated from the University of Texas with an honors degree in mathematics and is an alumna of the TUCK – WBENC Graduate Program. She resides in Northern New Jersey with her family.
